Hey y’all! Welcome to The Happy Floridian, a lifestyle blog dedicated to all the awesome things in the Sunshine State. Florida is THE most amazing place, and I can’t wait to share all my favorite Florida finds with each and every one of you.
I’ve always wanted to start my own blog. I’ve worked for blogs in the past and written for magazines, but never had a platform where I can write about the things I love in my own voice. So, when I finally got the courage to start my own blog, one question came to mind: do I even know enough about anything to write a blog about it?
Then it hit me. It was so obvious. Florida. Florida has been my home since birth, and over the past 23 years I’ve moved all throughout the sunshine state. From my childhood in South Florida, to my college years in Orlando to now living in North Florida, I’ve pretty much been everywhere from the white sandy beaches of Key West to the rural forests of Lake City, my current home less than an hour south of the Georgia border.
This is my home. This place, this crazy beautiful state, has my whole heart. So, why not share it with the world right?
I plan on sharing everything that’s wonderful about Florida here with y’all. The best restaurants, the coolest adventure spots, the inside tips and tricks to surviving a Florida vay-cay. Hi Kayla, I would love to see the great places of Florida!! I have been visiting the sunshine state since 1973 when your grandparents moved there. I lived in Sarasota from 1980 to 1984. I love the West Coast. I don’t get to sight see much as I am busy visiting family in southern Florida. Look forward to reading about all that you discover and experience,
