My husband and I decided to take a little mini vacation to Jacksonville Beach to celebrate our anniversary. With only 24 hours in Jacksonville Beach we knew we wanted to stay on the water and within walking distance of restaurants. We decided to stay at Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach and we had such a great time! Here are some of our highlights from our weekend in Jacksonville Beach.
Where We Stayed
When it comes to beach hotels in Florida, Margaritaville Hotels are always a solid option! We’ve been to the one on Hollywood Beach before but this was our first time at Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach and it did not disappoint!

We got a room with a king bed and a partial ocean view for just $160 on a Saturday! Granted it is the off season and the weather was very rainy but still that’s an amazing deal!
The hotel has valet parking, a coffee/ice cream shop, a restaurant and bar, and is right on the beach! We also liked that the keycards are bracelets so you don’t have to worry about losing your key. Plus it’s within walking distance of some awesome restaurants.
Because the weather was rainy and it was chilly outside, we didn’t get to take advantage of the beach or pool but we did enjoy the calm views and relaxing in bed while watching tv. We’re hoping for better weather next time we go.

What We Ate
We had dinner at LandShark Bar and Grill, the in-house restaurant at Margaritaville. We had some delicious seafood, including the Shrimp Beach Bread, Fried Shrimp and the Seafood Platter. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the pineapple aioli they served with the shrimp was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had!

For breakfast the next day we drove a couple miles down the road to Grumpy’s, a delicious breakfast and lunch spot that gives off diner vibes. Their chicken and waffles is an absolute must order, along with their fresh-squeezed orange juice (which is actually fresh squeezed, we saw them doing it themselves!)

Overall a weekend at Jacksonville Beach was definitely a fun mini getaway! Hopefully next time we can enjoy it with some sunshine!
