Experiencing SeaWorld Orlando With Toddlers – The Best Baby and Toddler Friendly Theme Park

SeaWorld Orlando is one of the most baby and toddler friendly theme parks I have ever been to! In February we bought Fun Passes (similar to an annual pass but without some of the perks) and ever since we have been taking full advantage of them!

Here are some of my top tips for visiting SeaWorld with small children!

Sesame Street Land = The Ultimate Kid-Friendly Spot

Our kids are huge fans of Sesame Street, so the fact that SeaWorld has a huge Sesame Street area was a big reason why we got passes. Not only is there a ton of fun things to do there for littles, but it’s also the most family-friendly area of the park.

Sesame Street Land has a splash pad, shaded playground, interactive games, covered dining and rides small enough for toddlers but big enough for adults to ride along too. Our kids love the carousel and Elmo’s Choo Choo Train. You also can’t miss the parade, which happens every day at 2:30 p.m.

This is also the best part of the park for nursing mamas! There is a spacious, air conditioned nursing room in the bathroom area, along with changing rooms and even a quiet room for when your little one needs a break. There is also a nursing room by the bathrooms across from the Atlantis ride, but the one in Sesame Street Land is more conveniently located.

Pro Tip: Bring a change of clothes and a towel for the splash pad!

Toddler-Friendly Attractions

There are a lot of fun shows and attractions at SeaWorld. But some are more likely to hold a toddler’s attention than others.

As far as shows, you can’t miss out on the Dolphin Adventures show! It’s fun, action-packed and holds our toddler’s attention every time. As for us, we usually skip the orca and sea lion shows because our littles aren’t quite as entertained.

The rest of the theme park doesn’t have any toddler-friendly rides but the animal exhibits are fantastic! The dolphin nursery, penguin exhibit and walk-through aquariums are all perfect for little ones.

Where To Eat

We usually pack our own food when we visit SeaWorld and splurge on a sweet treat. However, there are a few good food spots for kids.

Chicken Tenders and indoor seating at Expedition Cafe

Expedition Cafe near Penguin Trek is cafeteria style with kid-friendly foods like pizza and chicken tenders and fries. There is also an air-conditioned indoor seating area that is usually pretty empty and a great spot to cool off and enjoy some food.

Sesame Street Land has ABC Eats (chicken tenders and fries) and Yummy Yummy Noms Noms (grilled cheese sandwiches.) They also have Sesame Sips, which has smoothies and other beverages.

Pro Tip: Invest in the refillable cup! It’s worth it for the refills.

My personal favorite bite of food in the park is from Mama’s Pretzel Kitchen. Their pretzels and cheese dip are some of the best I’ve ever had!

Here are a couple more tips for how to enjoy the day at Seaworld with a baby or a toddler:

  • Get There Early!
Just like with any theme park visit, you want to get there early so you can get a parking spot close to the front and so the security lines won’t be too long.
  • Use The SeaWorld App
The SeaWorld app is a lifesaver while in the park. You can map out your visit and see all the dining locations, show times and attractions.
  • Plan Around The Sesame Street Parade
Try to time your trip to Sesame Street Land with the parade. If you get there early enough you’ll have plenty of time to play and explore and still be able to stake out a good spot for the parade
